Drs. Bowman, Owyang and Harter are all graduates of the U. C. Berkeley School of Optometry Class of 1983. In practice for 25 years, we have seen tremendous changes in the profession of optometry, including amazing advances in technology. We are proud to have been only the fifth practice on the West Coast of the U.S. to obtain the Optomap scanning laser ophthalmoscope. This non-invasive imaging device allows us to obtain a better view of the retina than traditional methods but WITHOUT the hours of light-sensitivity and blurring that occurs with dilation.
